New Delhi: Hema Malini, who is contesting from Mathura Lok Sabha seat of UP on Bharatiya Janata Party ticket, had a special conversation with India TV today. During this, he enumerated his work in the last 10 years. Along with this, he also told his plan for the next five years. While answering a question, he also told about the ‘Jai-Veeru duo’ of politics. Referring to the characters of the film Sholay, she also told who is the ‘Gabbar of politics’ and whom in politics she considers as the ‘jailer of the British era’.
What is Hema Malini’s plan?
This time too, Hema Malini, while answering a question about getting the ticket, said, ‘I am here because of my work. I did a lot of work in the first five years and in the next five years also I got the work done for the beautification of Mathura. In this I built many highways, even now a road worth Rs 4000 crore is being built. So the people here have got relief from the incidents like traffic jam which used to be jammed due to the crowd coming to Mathura. Regarding her plans for the next 5 years, she said, ‘The work of 84 Kosi Parikrama in Mathura, purification of Yamuna, beautification of the area and a ring road in Mathura is still pending, which I am getting done.’
What did Hema Malini say on the opposition?
Taking aim at the opposition, Hema Malini said, ‘These people continuously talk about the filth in Yamuna, but these people themselves pour filth into Yamuna from Delhi. In the next 5 years, I am going to work to stop that too. Regarding the migrant tag imposed on herself, Hema Malini said, ‘I cannot remove that tag, because it is true that I have come from Mumbai. But I have not come here to become a leader, I have come here to work and am working. Those who call me a migrant, what have they themselves done for Mathura? He only knows how to complain.
Sholay’s role in politics
While mentioning the characters of the famous 70’s film Sholay in politics, he listed some names. While answering a question, Hema Malini described the pairing of PM Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah as ‘Jai-Viru of politics’. When he was asked about the Gabbar of politics, he said that the entire opposition is Gabbar. Whereas in Sholay, when asked about the jailer of the British era, who do you consider to be the ‘jailer of the British era in politics’, she took the name of Rahul Gandhi. Hema Malini said that ‘There is no seriousness in the way Rahul Gandhi ji gives his statements. It seems like he is joking.
