During the last 24 hours on Tuesday, not a single corona infected patient has appeared in Sagar, due to which the temporary appointments have also been terminated by the CMHO. However, the doctors of BMC have appealed to the people not to take any kind of negligence.
The third wave of Corona in the district is now going farewell. The number of corona infected patients in the district had reduced to less than 10 for the last one week, but only three to five patients were being found in the last three days. However, on Tuesday, it was the first time after almost four months that not a single corona infected patient has come to the fore in Sagar. The doctors of BMC heaved a sigh of relief when the number of corona infected patients was zero, but appealed to the people of the district to follow the corona guidelines and get the third dose of corona done on time.
18 lakh 46 thousand got second dose in the district, 28 thousand got vigilance dose
The infection rate has come down only after the vaccination campaign intensified to deal with corona infection in the district. According to the information, 36,13,418 people are to be vaccinated in the district, out of which 18,46,529 have received the first dose and 17,38,763 have received the second dose. Apart from this, a vigilance dose has also been taken for 28,126 people. Due to the increase in the number of vaccinations, the number of infected has decreased rapidly. If people follow the corona guideline after getting the vaccination done as soon as possible, then the number of patients will be reduced immediately. However, the number of people who got the third dose of corona is gradually increasing.
services of temporary health workers terminated
The services of temporary health workers appointed for prevention of corona infection and providing proper treatment to patients in Sagar district have also been terminated. Sagar CMHO Dr. Suresh Boudh said that an order was received from the government to continue the services till March 1, but no approval has been received from the government level so far to continue the services of temporary health workers. The outbreak of corona infection has reduced in the district. In such a situation, the services of temporary health workers kept in the district are being terminated from Tuesday afternoon. In the afternoon, temporary health workers are being relieved. It was said in the order that the services of temporary health workers, AYUSH dentists, pharmacists, ANMs, LTs, OTs, assistants, support staff were being taken at the district level for the control work of COVID-19 epidemic.
Less than 100 patients were found in the last 10 days
In the first week of February, where an average of 120 new infected patients were being received every day, in the second week of February this figure started decreasing completely. At the same time, for the last few days, only four or sometimes five patients are being found every day. In the matter, BMC’s media in-charge Dr. Umesh Patel says that the downfall of infection is happening in the third wave. A month ago, where more than two hundred patients were getting daily in the district, now this figure has come down to less than ten. At the same time, not a single corona patient has appeared in Sagar in the last 24 hours. Dr. Umesh Patel said that vaccination is most important in eradicating corona infection. People of the district should follow the Corona guidelines by getting vaccinated.
