New Delhi. A fire broke out in a commercial building in Delhi’s Mundka area, killing 27 people. Now the news is that 19 people are also missing after this accident. Their family members are troubled by searching. The building has been taken over by NDRF and search is on for others. The police have arrested both the owners of the building by registering an FIR. The police is also going to take the help of forensic science to investigate this matter. It is not yet known how the fire started. In the last 25 years in Delhi, there have been 6 incidents of major fires including this incident.
The fire broke out on the first floor of the building at around 5.45 pm on Friday and quickly spread to the upper floors. Earlier 15 vehicles of the fire brigade were stationed here. Later their number was increased to more than 20. The fire brigade also used robots to douse the fire. The fire was extinguished late in the night after about 6 hours of effort. After the fire, many people jumped from the floors of the building and got injured. It is being told that NDRF has also recovered parts of burnt bodies from the building.
The most sad aspect in this whole matter is that no leader of AAP, which runs the government in Delhi, reached the spot. Several ministers, including CM Arvind Kejriwal and his deputy CM Manish Sisodia, tweeted late night in this matter. Due to this, people got angry on all these and reprimanded Kejriwal and team on social media. PM August 2, 2021
