Patna. In the paper leak case of constable recruitment examination, the then Chairman of the Central Selection Board of Constable Recruitment and former DGP SK Singhal has been questioned. This inquiry was done by the SIT team formed at the EOU level by visiting his residence. This was confirmed by SIT Chief cum EOU DIG Manav Jeet Singh Dhillon himself. According to Dhillon, this inquiry was done on Tuesday. The interrogation team led by the SP asked him questions related to many aspects for about two hours. For this, a long list of BJP questions was prepared.
It is being told that during the interrogation, questions were asked at many levels regarding the reasons for the paper leak and all the possibilities related to it. During the interrogation, the former DGP answered all the questions with complete ease and cooperated with the investigating officers in every way. Being the chairman of the selection board, was there any mistake on his part? Despite it being such a confidential matter, information about how the paper was leaked was also obtained. The investigation team also obtained information about the entire process from printing of the paper to its arrival and distribution.
Let us tell you that on October 1, 2023, an examination was held in Bihar for reinstatement on more than 21 thousand posts of constables. Its question paper went viral just before the exam started. To investigate this entire matter, a 22-member SIT was formed under the leadership of EOU DIG Manavjeet Singh Dhillon on 31 October 2023. This team is investigating many things related to this matter. In this case, many sensitive information has already reached the investigation team. However, many aspects related to this are still under in-depth investigation.
After this matter was revealed, the state government removed the then president SK Singhal from the post. After this, on March 7, 2024, an intensive search was conducted in the old office of the Central Selection Board of Constable Recruitment located near the new and old secretariat located at Harding Road, Patna. During this period, a large number of computers and laptops and many other documents were seized. Many things have come to light in their investigation which are now being investigated by the SIT.
