The group organizing the protest said the company had laid off 30 workers last week. Last time Google Chief Sundar Pichai had said that such demonstrations cannot be allowed in offices.

The group is demanding that ‘no technology be given to those who practice apartheid’. “After this, on Tuesday, Google fired about 20 more employees,” said group member Jane Chung. The company refuted the group’s claims, saying that each of the people who have been evacuated was individually and certainly involved in disruptive activities inside our buildings.

The number of employees fired for protesting has now reached 50. Google’s security chief Chris Racko condemned the demonstrations, saying, ‘This behavior of employees is unacceptable and disruptive. This made colleagues feel threatened. Project Nimbus is a cloud computing project of the Israeli government and its army.
