He has instructed the managing directors of the three discoms to monitor the recovery of electricity bills from government-non-government organizations and consumers on a daily basis. According to a rough estimate, out of 2390 crores, about Rs 1358 crores are now pending, after the latest figures of relief and recovery of about 532 crores, giving exemption of bill fee surcharge on immediate deposit of outstanding electricity bills.
ACS Energy Dr. Subodh Agrawal informed that due to coordinated efforts at high level, 305 crores of Janata Jal Yojana and 100 crores towards outstanding electricity bills of PHED, a total of Rs 405 crores. have been received. Apart from this, a further recovery of about Rs 100 crore has been made. In this way, about Rs 1358 crore is now outstanding in government departments and undertakings, the process of recovery of which is going on. Dr. Aggarwal said that despite the highest amount due in urban bodies, UITs, municipalities, municipal councils, municipal corporations, etc., expressing dissatisfaction over the pace of recovery so far, urged the government departments and undertakings including urban bodies. He urged them to immediately deposit all other outstanding electricity bills including Public Electricity System (PLS) of DISCOMs so that DISCOMs do not have to take any untoward action including disconnection of electricity connection. He urged all the concerned departments and institutions that the financial year is over and the state and central government are serious about recovery of the outstanding electricity bills of the DISCOMs, in such a way that they should give priority to deposit the outstanding bills so that in any way, including disconnecting the electricity connection. Unpleasant steps should not adversely affect the image and also do not cause any inconvenience to the common citizens.
Expressing satisfaction over the resolution of the cases registered on the Rajasthan Sampark Portal, Dr. Aggarwal said that out of 64771 cases registered by the three DISCOMs, 64268 cases have been resolved, while 503 cases together with the three DISCOMs are pending disposal, which should be disposed of on priority. instructed to do. He said that maximum number of public litigations were brought on the Sampark portal for distribution of electricity, in which 15549 cases have been resolved except 7 out of 15556 in Jaipur. Similarly, out of 5555 cases related to power distribution of Jodhpur Discom, except only two cases, all the remaining 5553 cases and Ajmer’s 3635 cases have been disposed off. Action has been taken on all of the 196 cases and 87 cases of compensation registered on the portal related to electricity theft in Jaipur DISCOM, while 23 cases registered on the portal related to electricity theft of Jodhpur DISCOM and 468 cases of transformer replacement received. But action has been taken. Similarly, all 3635 cases registered on the portal related to power supply of Ajmer Discom have been executed immediately. He also directed for immediate execution of the remaining 503 cases out of 64771 cases of all the three DISCOMs.
Chairman DISCOMs Bhaskar A Sawant said that the result of regular recovery review is that 505 crore rupees have been recovered in a week.
The amount has been deposited and interest relief of Rs 532 crore has been received from the state government.
