Gwalior Amrit Yojana 2022: Gwalior, Naiduniya representative. The officials have completed the work for the Amrit Yojana Part-2 scheme. In Amrit Part-2, 45 wards of the city have been identified, in which new water lines will be laid. Along with this, the capacity of Motijheel plant will also be doubled. The supply of drinking water under the AMRUT scheme has been designed keeping in mind the needs of the population till 2055.
The Municipal Corporation officials have made preparations for Amrit Yojana Part-2. For this, the officials have worked hard and documented for about a month. Under this, water lines will be laid by the Municipal Corporation in 45 wards of the city. Along with this, there are many wards where water lines were laid about 30 to 40 years ago. Due to many leakages in these lines, the water is not able to reach the last end. In addition, the wastage of water is also high. Also, due to the old water lines, the water of sewer lines also goes inside them. Due to which many people in the city have also become victims of stomach related diseases. Under the AMRUT scheme, new technology pipes will be inserted, which will be able to withstand much more pressure than the old lines.
Motijheel plant will increase capacity: The capacity of Motijheel Water Treatment Plant is presently to filter 68 MLD water, whereas under AMRUT Scheme Part II, the capacity of Motijheel Filter Plant is planned to be increased to 124 MLD per day. Water will be brought from Chambal and Tigra to Motijheel Filter Plant.
New lines will be inserted in these wards: Ward numbers 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, 30, 31, 32, 33, 34, 35, 36, 38, 39, 40, 41, 42, under AMRUT scheme New water lines in 43, 44, 45, 46, 47, 48, 49, 50, 51, 53, 54, 55, 56, 57, 58, 59, 60, 61, 62, 63, 64, 65, 66 will be inserted.
This work will also be done in Amrit Yojana:
-193.29 km of water lines will be laid to fill the tanks
-2 new pumping stations will be built
-122.5 MLD water supply capacity will increase
-The capacity to treat 124 MLD water will be increased
-741.8 km of new water lines will be laid
-528.23 km of old water lines will be replaced
-455213 connection is to be given in Gwalior Municipal Corporation limits
Water is reaching -152292 connections
-302921 New connections will be given

Documents have been prepared by survey in Amrit Yojana Part 2. Under this, keeping in mind the supply of water in the city till 2055, Amrit Yojana Part 2 has been prepared. On completion of the AMRUT scheme, water will be supplied with pressure to the residents of the city.
