Now studying the IT expert report of SBI
Gwalior ATM loot News: Gwalior. New Zealand Representative. In the case of stealing lakhs of rupees by cutting three ATMs in the city, the technical investigation report of two ATMs of State Bank of India has come to the fore. This committee of SBI has told in its investigation report that the connections of both of them were disconnected earlier so that the alarm did not reach Mumbai on tampering with SBI ATMs located at Ravi Nagar and Sevanagar. No alert reached Mumbai as the connection was cut earlier and the police could not get information immediately. At the same time, the machines which were cut by the miscreants were the old model MCR and Devolt versions which have become obsolete. The miscreants were aware of the working of these machines, so they were easily bitten. Now it is impossible to cut the machine of the new version.
It is to be known that on the intervening night of February 19 and 20, the gang of miscreants stole about 45 lakh rupees by cutting two ATMs of SBI located at Ravi Nagar and Sewa Nagar and one ATM of Central Bank of India at Maharajpura. In these three ATMs, only the alarm of the Central Bank of India ATM had reached Mumbai, after which the police immediately reached the spot but the miscreants were not found. There was no alarm of two SBI ATMs. In this case, the police has arrested the kingpin of miscreants Khurshid by raiding them in Palwal, Haryana.
All three machines turned out to be of the old model
The three machines that were cut are of the old model only. All these ATMs are installed by outsourced company. These machines of MCR and Devolt company have been outdated for a few years. The crooks know the system of these machines. According to bank officials, there is no direct connection with ATM machines because the outsourced company operates. Cash is also insured.
