Gwalior Maha Shivratri 2022 Live: Gwalior (Naiduniya Representative). Flower bungalows are decorated with attractive lights on all the Shiva temples in the city for the festival of Mahashivratri. All the temples have been decorated and ready. Barricades have also been installed to ensure smooth flow of traffic. The doors of the temples were opened for the devotees from 12 o’clock in the night. Devotees had darshan of Mahadev from the night itself at the temples of Achaleshwar, Gupteshwar, Koteshwar etc. of the city. From the night itself, worship of Lord Shiva and Mother Parvati was done with Panchamrit, Belpatra, Bhang, Datura, Aak, flowers, fruits and sweets. Along with this, Lord Shiva was anointed with water, milk, curd, sugar etc. To make arrangements at the temples, 400 police personnel have been deployed, who took the lead from the night itself. Many of these jawans have been deployed in plain uniform to keep an eye on the smugglers and pickpockets. Apart from this, surveillance will also be done through CCTV cameras. The police has appealed that people coming to visit the temples should not bring mobiles and wallets with them.
160 quintals of enjoyment at Achaleshwar temple
On the occasion of Mahashivratri, 100 quintal potato, 50 quintal sago, 10 quintal fruit chaat will be offered at Achaleshwar Mahadev temple. On the other hand, hundreds of counters for distribution of prasad have been set up at the Shiva temples of the city. Sabudana khichdi, potatoes, fruits etc. will be distributed to the devotees from these counters. Arrangements have been made for the distribution of fruit-based potato prasad at other Shiva temples.
-Moving ceremony will come out from Gupteshwar temple-
A moving ceremony will be taken out from Gupteshwar Mahadev temple at 11 am, which will reach Laxmiganj, Hanuman Mandir, Sarafa Bazar, Inderganj, Jayendraganj, Achaleshwar. The ceremony will be welcomed here. After this, this ongoing ceremony will end at the Gupteshwar temple. Two adornments of Lord Shiva will be done at the Markandeshwar temple located in Phulbagh. In this, in the morning he will be decorated as a sannyasin and in the evening as a groom. Separate lines have been arranged for men and women at the Koteshwar temple.

Devotees will enter from Lalitpur Colony to have darshan of Lord Bholenath at Achaleshwar Mahadev Temple. The exit of devotees will be through Nandi gate and Trishul gate. Devotees who do not want to come to the temple can have darshan of the deity from the main gate of the road. Separate arrangements for entry have been made for the members of the temple.
Inderganj to BSNL Chauraha No-Vehicle Zone-
Inderganj intersection to Sanatan Dharma Mandir, Chamber of Commerce and BSNL crossroads have been kept as no-vehicle zone. Loading and movement of vehicles will be restricted on Roshnighar Road. Only private vehicles will be able to leave from here. Vehicles coming from Tighara and Sada bypass road will be restricted to go beyond Gupteshwar hill. The movement of vehicles from Gol Paharia towards Gupteshwar temple will be restricted. The movement of vehicles from Koteshwar Tiraha via Koteshwar Temple to Kali Mata Temple will be restricted.
Smart road work will remain closed
Smart road work will be closed on Tuesday. In view of the convenience of the devotees at Achaleshwar temple, the work will be kept completely closed. Smart City CEO Jayati Singh said that on this day the work of Smart Road running from Mahal Gate to Mandre ki Mata will be closed so that devotees arriving at Achaleshwar temple do not face inconvenience.
