Meanwhile, talking about some popular seats, they included Hastinapur seat, from where the Congress party had given ticket to Bikini girl Archana Gautam and there was a lot of political ruckus about it. Hindu organizations had opposed the ticket to Archana Gautam. Archana Gautam seems to be getting a crushing defeat when the election results come today.
BJP’s Dinesh Khatik is getting victory
Hastinapur Assembly seat of Meerut was in more discussion this time. Actually, there is a legend here that the candidate who wins from this seat, the government is formed in Uttar Pradesh at the same rate. BJP had won from here in 2017 and this time also BJP candidate Dinesh Khatik is seen winning here. Dinesh Khatik is leading over his nearest candidate Yogesh Verma of SP by a margin of 5091 votes. On the other hand, the Congress candidate, who was popularly known as Bikini Girl, is trailing.
Let us tell you that in the 2017 elections, all the parties tried to register victory in Hastinapur assembly seat, but only BJP candidate Dinesh Khatik got the victory. In this seat, BJP candidate got 99436 votes while Yogesh Verma, who was then BSP candidate got 63374 votes. This time Yogesh Sharma contested the election on Samajwadi Party ticket.

Famous Congress candidate Archana Gautam has been an actor and model. Archana has won many beauty pageants so far and Archana Gautam joined the Congress in November 2021. Soon after Archana Gautam’s name was announced, her bikini-clad pictures started doing the rounds on social media. Also, the Hindu Mahasabha had objected to the candidature of Archana Gautam. Hindu Mahasabha says that Congress had hurt the sentiments of Hindus and Jains who consider Hastinapur as a religious place by fielding Archana Gautam as its candidate.
