Our district is number one in the state in terms of road accident deaths, while it is seventh in terms of accidents. The number of road accidents in the district is not stopping. 2021 will be long remembered for the traumatic accidents. Actually in 2021 there were 1914 road accidents. In which 609 people died. On an average 50 people die every month in road accidents in Dhar district. Of these, three areas have become the most notorious. In this, 51 deaths have occurred last year in the Ganpati Ghat of Dhamnod area and its connected four lanes. However, the most serious death toll has also come in the Kukshi area. Where there have been 71 deaths in a year. Accidents happen here on the Baroda Highway every day. At the same time, the movement of big vehicles has increased in Manawar area. Since then there have been more accidents there as well. There 54 people have lost their lives in the accident. Not only this, one and a half months have passed since 2021 and about 200 road accidents have happened. There have been 52 deaths in this. Along with the police and administration, the agencies related to road construction are making efforts to prevent road accidents here. Along with this, a special project is also being run in the district. But people also have to travel carefully and the driver will have to follow the rules and restraint. Otherwise, this sequence of people dying in road accidents more than the epidemic will continue.
Three out of 23 police station areas fatal… 29 percent of the deaths occurred here
In Dhar district, three out of 23 police station areas are such where the maximum number of accidents, injuries and deaths are also being seen. If we talk about the accident, then there is Dhamnod 166 accident on number one, Manavar 161 accident on number two and Kukshi 144 accident on number three. That is, including all the three police stations, 25 percent of the accidents in the district have happened here. In the case of accidental death, the same three police stations have topped. In this, Kukshi 71 died, while there is a thorny collision between Manavar and Dhamnod. Out of 23 police stations, only these three police stations accounted for 29 percent of the deaths. The same situation is being seen in the case of the injured as well. In this, 26 percent people have been injured in the accident in Dhamnod, Manavar, Kukshi. Talking about the least number of deaths in road accidents, the figures of Kotwali police station and Mandu police station are in the unit.
Trauma center…
Efforts have been made by Superintendent of Police Aditya Pratap Singh, former traffic TI Yogendra Singh Bhati to prevent road accidents. In the meeting of the Road Safety Committee to prevent accidents, discussions were held to curb accidents. Along with this, a letter has been written to MP Chhatar Singh Darbar to convert Khalghat-Kukshi road into four lane. A proposal has been sent for the trauma center to the health director commissioner. If a trauma center is built in our district, then the deaths due to road accidents can be reduced.
