New Delhi. The election process for Lok Sabha elections 2024 is going on. In this series, the time for nomination on 8 seats of the second phase in Uttar Pradesh has ended. On Thursday, the last day of nomination for the second phase, 94 people filed nominations. 21 people filed nominations in Amroha, 22 in Meerut and 16 in Baghpat.
Apart from this, 35 people filed nominations in Ghaziabad, 34 in Noida and 10 in Bulandshahr. At the same time, 21 people in Aligarh and 16 in Mathura filled the forms. On the last day, maximum number of 35 people filed nominations in Ghaziabad and least number of 10 people in Bulandshahr.

High profile faces in the second phase
In the second phase of Lok Sabha elections, famous faces like Hema Malini from Mathura Lok Sabha seat of UP, Arun Govil from Meerut, Danish Ali from Amroha are contesting. Now the nomination papers of these 8 seats will be scrutinized today. Withdrawal of nominations on 8 seats of the second phase will be possible till 8th April. In the second phase, voting will be held on 8 seats of UP on 26 April.
Let us tell you that there are a total of 80 Lok Sabha seats in UP, hence it is said that the route to power in Delhi passes through Uttar Pradesh. In the last two elections, BJP has won most of the seats in UP. PM Narendra Modi is contesting elections from Varanasi for the third time. Apart from this, Union Minister Rajnath Singh from Lucknow, Dimple Yadav from Mainpuri and Shivpal Singh Yadav are SP candidates from Badaun seat.
