Bhopal (New World Representative). There is no shortage of doctors in the government hospitals of the state. In February 2021, the recruitment process was started for 632 posts through the Public Service Commission. After the interview, a selection list of 495 doctors was issued, but only 401 joined them. In such a situation, the government has canceled the appointment of 94 medical officers who did not join last week. In their place, 64 doctors included in the supplementary list have been given the opportunity to be appointed. Online option has been sought from the doctors included in this list for the hospital of their choice by February 27. Candidates have to send option to [email protected]. Explain that the doctors whose appointments have been canceled were posted in Community Health Centers, Civil Hospitals and Primary Health Centers.
Doctors are not available even after regular recruitment from PSC
In 2010, only 570 doctors were found against 1090 posts of medical officers. After this, about 200 doctors left their jobs for doing PG or not getting the desired posting. In 2013, 865 doctors were found in the recruitment of 1416 posts, but about 200 did not join and left the same job. That is, only about 400 doctors were found. Similarly, in 2015, 874 doctors have been found in 1271 posts. Of these, 218 doctors did not join. Some went to do PG and some left the job. Only about 400 doctors could be found. Recruitment for 1871 posts started in 2015 itself. The results were released after the interview in March 2017.
Salary is less in MP as compared to other states. There is a feeling of insecurity among the doctors, so they do not want to go to the hospitals in rural areas. It takes one year to recruit from PSC. The government should give direct appointment to doctors coming out of medical colleges.
