Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal took a jibe at BJP with the help of Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur. Addressing a gathering in Kangra on Saturday, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) convener Kejriwal said that Jai Ram Thakur seems to be copying from AAP’s book but he could not succeed in that too. Because we freed 300 units of electricity in Delhi and Punjab, they were able to do only 125 units. Arvind Kejriwal was referring to the Himachal CM’s recent promise of free 125 units of electricity.
Arvind Kejriwal on Saturday took a dig at rival BJP in Himachal Pradesh, which is set to elect its new government this year. Kejriwal was referring to Chief Minister Thakur’s promise of 125 free power units. Kejriwal said that this big announcement has come before his state visit. “But as soon as he made the announcement, a question arose… All BJP ruled states should do the same… Then Thakur was told by PM (Narendra Modi) and Amit Shah ji that he should not make such announcement.”
Hitting out at Jai Ram Thakur in the meeting, the AAP chief said, “In an examination hall, Thakur was sitting behind Kejriwal and he was copying from Kejriwal’s paper. Kejriwal wrote 300 units of electricity would be free in Delhi but Jai Ram Thakur Wrote 125 units of electricity will be free. That’s why it is said that even for copying, you need wisdom.
Kejriwal said that we have made 300 units free in Delhi and Punjab. He said that only 125 units in Himachal. But you also need improvement in copying. “I invite the people of Himachal Pradesh and Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur to come to Delhi to see the government schools there,” he said.
You have bad intentions: Kejriwal
While addressing the gathering in Kangra, Kejriwal said that the Himachal CM had tweeted yesterday and said that the Delhi model will not work here. I asked that the model of Delhi is an honest government. This means that Jai Ram Thakur does not want an honest government in Himachal.
