The country’s most popular leader, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, today answered the questions of the biggest TV host Rajat Sharma openly. On Pakistan’s allegation that India is behind the target killing of terrorists in their country, Modi replied, “This is not an issue. I know that the people of Pakistan are troubled, but I also know that I am the reason for their trouble. When people there cry, I can understand, but I cannot understand why people here cry.”
PM Modi said as an example, “But it is sad that a person from a responsible party of my own country says that in the 26/11 attack, Kasab did not kill the people of our country but our countrymen killed their countrymen. A party which remained in power for years. That party was in power at the time of 26/11. And when such a statement comes from its side, it hurts a lot. How can such a leader give a statement in favor of Pakistan and Ajmal Kasab? Whenever I hear such comments, my head bows in shame.” Let us tell you that PM Modi was answering the questions of Rajat Sharma in the show ‘Salaam India’. This show was telecast on India TV tonight at 9 pm.
‘I have personally checked the strength of Pakistan by going to Lahore’
On Mani Shankar Aiyar’s comment that India should respect Pakistan because it has nuclear bombs, PM Modi jokingly replied, “It is like I have checked that power by going to Lahore myself. I landed in Lahore without any security check. There a reporter was reporting… hai Allah Tauba… hai Allah Tauba… how did he come without visa… I said, this was my country yaar once upon a time…”
