In the beginning of this meeting, PM Narendra Modi and party chief JP Nadda were honored on the victory in 4 states and then PM Narendra Modi addressed the meeting. Let us inform that in Uttar Pradesh, many BJP leaders were asking for tickets for their family members, but the leadership rejected the demand of many people. Even MP Rita Bahuguna Joshi was seeking ticket for her son Mayank from Lucknow, but she was not given a chance.
Rita Bahuguna Joshi had also expressed displeasure on this and her son had joined the SP. Apart from him, many other leaders were also lobbying to give tickets to their families, but they too were disappointed. In Goa also, BJP did not give ticket to Utpal Parrikar, son of former CM Manohar Parrikar. He was seeking ticket from Panaji seat, but BJP denied it. On this, Parrikar had landed as an independent from the same seat. However, he had to face a crushing defeat in the elections.
