Islamabad. Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan addressed the nation on Thursday, days before the vote on a no-confidence motion moved against him by the opposition in the National Assembly. The voting in the lower house of parliament will decide his fate. According to the newspaper Dawn, Imran said, “Ever since I came into politics, I have always said that neither I will bow down before anyone, nor will I let my country bow down. It means I will make my country a slave of anyone.” I will not let it happen. I will never go back on this stance.”
The prime minister then referred to the “threat letter” which allegedly showed “evidence” of a foreign conspiracy to topple his government.
His tongue slipped while speaking and he said that the United States is behind this threat.
Imran said, “I am here today, because on March 8 or 7 from the United States. But it is also against this country.”
He said, “They already knew that a no-confidence motion was coming. No-confidence motion was not even moved (at that time). That means they (opposition) were associated with these people abroad. They say that They are angry with Pakistan.. They make this excuse. They say they will forgive Pakistan if Imran Khan loses majority on the no-confidence motion, but if this move fails, Pakistan will face a tough time. Must pass.”
“In an official document it was said that if Imran Khan continues to be the prime minister, our relations will suffer and you will face difficulties,” he said.
Imran said, “I am telling my country today that this is our condition. We are a country of 22 crores and another country.. He is not giving any reason – he is threatening. He says that Imran Khan did Decided to go to Russia, even after consulting the Foreign Office and military leadership.”
He said, “Our ambassador told them that after consultation it was decided to go to Russia, but they are denying it and saying that ‘it happened only because of Imran Khan and if he stays in power’ We can’t have good relations’. What they are really saying is that they have no problem with people who will replace Imran Khan.”
“The most disturbing thing is that they (foreign forces) have links with those through whom the conspiracy was hatched. They are puppets and puppet means loyal slave,” Imran said.
