Moscow: India has announced to support Russia in every situation to break the back of terrorists. National Security Advisor Ajit Doval on Wednesday said India will continue to cooperate with Russia to prevent misuse of information and communication technologies by terrorists and criminals. Speaking bluntly against terrorism, NSA Doval called for international cooperation for an open, stable, secure, reliable and inclusive framework to ensure information security.
Addressing a plenary session on ‘Ensuring Information Security in the Polycentric World’ in St. Petersburg, Russia, Doval outlined India’s policy of using digital technology for inclusive economic growth. He said India will continue cooperation to prevent misuse of information and communication technologies by terrorists and criminals and to prevent terrorism financing.
Doval spoke in the 12th international meeting on security matters
Participating in the 12th international meeting of high-level officials responsible for security matters, Doval said that the framework of such cooperation will involve various stakeholders ranging from governments to the private sector, academia, technical communities and civil society to help develop common understanding on critical issues. Involves all stakeholders and regular institutional dialogue up to the Society. Capacity building of like-minded countries through training, education, awareness programs and development of security standards for emerging technologies and creation of mechanisms for cooperation domestically and internationally should also be part of such cooperation, he said.
