Union Road Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari said some such things during the Question Hour in Rajya Sabha on Wednesday that the leaders present there could not stop laughing. Replying to a question by BJP MP Roopa Ganguly, he said that once a hero or heroine has played a character, they find it very difficult to become a lead actor again.
Gadkari said, “It is very difficult. Once a heroine is cast for a character role, it is very difficult to recast that character actor as a heroine.”
Gadkari further said, “The same is true for diamonds. Once a hero is cast in a character role, he does not get the role of a hero back.” On this statement of his, the whole house erupted in laughter.
Roopa Ganguly had asked whether the safety measures available in new cars can be installed in old cars as well. Let us tell you that Roopa Ganguly is a popular heroine. She played the role of Draupadi in the Mahabharata serial. Because of this, he got a lot of fame.
Keeping this in mind, Gadkari later said, “Actually, my remarks were not against anyone. Take it lightly. It is very difficult….These rules and regulations are only for new vehicles. For older vehicles, it is very difficult to enable them mechanically.” However, he noted that some new safety features could be made available in 2-3 year old vehicles as well.
