The Bharatiya Janata Party celebrated its 42nd Foundation Day on Wednesday. During this, there was a lot of celebratory atmosphere among the workers. Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the workers across the country. There was a festive atmosphere in the party offices of every state. However, BJP spokesperson Rakesh Tripathi slipped his tongue in a TV debate show that he got gritty. He said that for BJP the party was first and the country later. On his statement, Muslim scholar Maulana Mufti Nadeemuddin quipped and clapped.
During the debate show on India TV, anchor Pawan Nara questioned, “Rakesh ji, 9 percent of Muslims voted for BJP in UP elections. Now Muslims are being targeted for voting for BJP. How will the BJP government give security to the pro-Muslims?” Answering this question, the BJP spokesperson slipped his tongue and told the party before the country.
Rakesh replied saying, “Look Pawan ji, today is the 42nd foundation day of the Bharatiya Janata Party. Bharatiya Janata Party has been party first in theory, in practice and in thought, country has been after. Immediately realizing the mistake, the BJP spokesperson rectified it and said, “The nation has been first, the party has always been later. The person has been the last. We have been following the idea of Antyodaya of Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyay.”
Muslim scholar Maulana Mufti Nadeemuddin started laughing and clapping when Rakesh Tripathi’s tongue slipped. During this, he said that the truth came out of his mouth, Tripathi ji’s. On this the BJP spokesperson got furious and attacked Maulana. Hitting back at Maulana Mufti Nadeemuddin, Rakesh Tripathi said, “It would be better if Nadeemuddin sahib does not interfere in the middle. I was listening to Nadeemuddin sahab. I have heard their arguments many times. Whenever they criticize, they will impose but on such subjects, but they will impose it. Will give many examples together.
Rakesh further said, “When someone issues this type of fatwa without any buts of such views, then he not only insults the constitution of Babasaheb Ambedkar, but also does the work of shaming humanity. Anyone can issue a fatwa to kill someone, under the guise of religion. Which religion can teach that you should issue a fatwa for killing someone? This in itself is quite unfortunate and should be condemned without buts. The gentlemen who were trying to issue the fatwa have been arrested.”
