A big relief has been given by the Indian Railways for the people who are fasting on Navratri. Railways is going to start a new service. Under which now the passengers will get the plate of fasting on their seat during the journey itself. IRCTC has added Vrat Thali to its food menu. In which fruit food will be served to the passengers.
This facility has been started by Indian Railways for those people who used to go through the problem of eating while traveling during Navratri fast. Railways is going to start this facility for such passengers from April 2, 2022.
How to book
Passengers can use IRCTC’s e-catering service or book on train number – 1323 to order their favorite fast food. The food will be cooked and served with utmost accuracy. Along with this, complete cleanliness will also be taken care of. This food prepared by the Railways will be without garlic and onions.
From when can you book
Passengers can book their fasting thali on tickets from March 28. Special fast food thali will be provided as an option at the time of ticket booking. If anyone has already booked their ticket and still wants to get the fasting thali, they can book it through e-catering or by calling on 1323.
what things will get
Special Navratri Vrat Thali will not be available at IRCTC stalls at stations. The menu shared by the Railways includes dishes made from buckwheat flour, sago khichdi, lassi, juice, fruits, tea, rabri and kheer and puri-sabzi.
how much will be the price
Keeping in mind the varied preferences of the people, IRCTC will be offering four different types of thalis. The cost of these thalis will be between Rs 125 to Rs 200. Please tell that this special Navratri meal will be available only in those trains in which IRCTC is providing catering facility. Also, this facility will be available only in 500 trains including Rajdhani, Duronto, Shatabdi.
