Indian Railways has given a big relief for the people traveling by train. On Monday, a major change was made in the rules of ticket booking by the Railways. After this change, now train passengers will be able to book 24 train tickets instead of 12 during a month. This booking process can be done through IRCTC app and website.
Indian Railways on Monday said it has decided to double the number of online tickets that can be booked with IRCTC ID per user. Railways said that earlier a user could book 12 tickets in a month with one ID, but now a user can book 24 tickets.

According to the Railways, this benefit will be available only to those users who link the Aadhaar card with the IRCTC app. After linking with Aadhaar, these users will now be allowed to book 24 train tickets instead of 12. Along with this, one of the passengers who booked the ticket should be verified through Aadhaar.
What is the rules of ticket booking now
At present, a user can book a maximum of six tickets in a month online on the IRCTC website and app, which is not linked with Aadhaar. At the same time, a maximum of 12 tickets can be booked in a month through a single user ID, which is linked to Aadhaar. Along with this, a passenger booking a ticket needs to be verified with Aadhaar.
How to link IRCTC ID with Aadhaar?
First of all go to the official website of IRCTC, irctc.co.in. After this you have to log in to IRCTC account. On the home page you have to click on ‘Link Your Aadhaar’ in ‘My Account’ option. The information entered in the card, such as name, Aadhaar number and virtual ID will have to be entered. Also, you will have to go to the check box and select the option of ‘Send OTP’. After this, you will be able to verify the account by entering the OTP. After the KYC is completed Your Aadhar will be linked with IRCTC account.
