Speaking at the Convergence India event, Rajkumar Upadhyay, Executive Director, Center for Development of Telematics (C-DoT), said the consortium has indigenously developed the technology at a cost of around USD 30 million, while the global telecom giant is involved in technology development. invest billions of dollars.
He said that soon a good news is going to come out about it. Work on indigenous 4G and 5G networks is nearing completion and will soon be deployed in BSNL network. Which will not only be 4G but also 5G NSA (Non-Standalone Access). It will be presented on Independence Day this year.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Narendra Modi wants BSNL to start 4G services by August 15. Simultaneously, the Standing Committee on Communications and Information Technology has recommended that BSNL should be allotted spectrum to start 5G services at par with private telecom operators in the country.
4G service was not starting because of this

45,000 crore for 4G network
The government has made a provision of Rs 45,000 crore for BSNL to start 4G network. Upadhyay said C-DOT is now opening up its technology development details to Indian companies, and it will fund start-ups to develop technologies.
