All is not well in Kerala Congress. Local leaders are angry against Congress leader KV Thomas for attending the CPI(M) meeting and are demanding action. A letter has also been written to Congress President Sonia Gandhi for this.
In fact, the leaders were forbidden from the Congress to attend the national convention of the Communist Party of India-Marxist. Congress MP Shashi Tharoor was also sent an invitation for this, but he did not go after the party’s refusal, but Thomas attended the program knowing that the high command was also against joining it and the local leadership too.
Thomas not only attended this program, but also praised Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan. The Congress leader has termed Vijayan as ‘Pride of Kerala’. The local leadership is now demanding action on this statement of Thomas.
Kerala Pradesh Congress Committee President K Sudhakaran has written a letter to party interim president Sonia Gandhi recommending disciplinary action against party leader KV Thomas.
It is also worth noting in the program that when Thomas reached there, the CPI(M) workers gave him a warm welcome. In the program, CPI(M) state secretary Kodiyeri Balakrishnan welcomed him by presenting him a photo of Jesus Christ. Addressing the program, the Congress leader said that after coming here, he feels that his decision to come is right. This will also strengthen the Congress party.
Please inform that Thomas has been a five-time MP from Kerala as well as a minister at the Centre. Although he has been angry with the high command for some time, perhaps this is the reason why he joined this program of CPI(M). Tamil Nadu CM MK Stalin also attended the event. He also addressed the program in which Vijayan was praised a lot.
