Mumbai Police has taken action against Aslam Shaikh and Varsha Gaikwad, ministers in the Maha Vikas Aghadi government of Maharashtra. Let us tell you that both of them were seen waving swords in a public program to welcome Imran Pratapgarhi, chairman of Congress’s Minorities Department. A case has been registered in this case under the Arms Act at Bandra Police Station in Mumbai.
It is noteworthy that this program was held on 26 March in Bandra. In this regard, BJP leader Mohit Kamboj had demanded action against Aslam Sheikh and Varsha Gaikwad from Mumbai Police. However, Aslam Sheikh, while talking to the media at the Congress State Office in Dadar, had said in his clarification that in any public place we have not shown the sword in any public place.
On the allegation of waving swords, Aslam Shaikh told that a program was organized in Bandra. People from the Sikh community also took part in this. He said that the people of the Sikh community had given us these swords.
Please tell that pictures of Aslam Sheikh waving swords were also seen on social media. After which the Mumbai Police has taken this step. At present, the investigation of this matter is going on and it is believed that the police can interrogate Congress leaders and party workers.
On the allegations against him, Aslam Shaikh reminded BJP leader Mohit Kamboj that in this way even Prime Minister Narendra Modi has shown sword in many of his programs.
Aslam Shaikh is an MLA from Malad seat in Mumbai, while Varsha Gaikwad is an MLA from NCP’s Dharavi seat. Varsha Gaikwad is the Minister of School Education in the state government of Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray.
