Chandigarh: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader and Punjab Chief Minister nominee Bhagwant Mann met Governor Banwarilal Purohit on Saturday and submitted his claim to form the government in the state. Mann reached Raj Bhavan at 10.30 am.
After this meeting, Bhagwant Mann said that I have submitted a letter of support to the Governor and staked claim to form the government in Punjab. The Governor asked us the place and time of the oath ceremony, I told that the oath ceremony will be held on March 16 at 12:30 in Khatkarkalan, the native village of Shaheed Bhagat Singh. Before the swearing-in, Mann will go to the Shri Harmandir Sahib in Amritsar on March 13 to pay obeisance and then hold a grand roadshow with AAP convener Arvind Kejriwal.

It may be noted that on March 16, Bhagwant Mann will take oath as the CM of Punjab at Khatkar Kalan, the native village of Bhagat Singh in Nawanshahr district. At the same time, while claiming to form the government, he said that he will have a good cabinet. Mann was elected the leader of the legislature party in the party meeting held in Mohali on Friday. It is noteworthy that AAP has won 92 seats in the 117-member Punjab Assembly elections.
