A case has been registered against 23 people for illegally building a tomb on the land of Bihari ji’s temple in Shahpur village located in Kosikala, Mathura. It is alleged that in 2004, the leader of the Samajwadi Party in connivance with the officials had lodged the temple of Bihari ji in the graveyard. In 2020, the throne present in the main sanctum sanctorum of Bihari ji’s temple was demolished and a mazar was made.
The case was registered on the complaint of Dharma Raksha Sangh. The accused include the then Tehsildar, Lekhpal, Revenue Inspector and village head along with SP leaders. Police has started investigating the matter. So far no arrest has been made in the case. Keep in mind that when all this breakup was done, there was Mulayam Singh Yadav’s government in UP. SP leaders were dominant then.
SP Dehat Shrish Chandra told that some people had illegally constructed in Shahpur village of Kosikala police station area. Some people have built it in a fake way. On investigation the allegation was found to be true. The police have arrested Tehsildar, Lekhpal Revenue Inspector, then head Ramveer, Furshid Deputy Chief, Shaukat, Ahmed, Yusuf, Aziz, Luqman, Nawab Qureshi, Nasir Pathan, Ashraf Ehsan, Hanif, Imran, Irshad, Zafar, Shamshad, Salim, Shakeel, Asghar A case has been registered against Nawab Khan, Bhole Pathan.
Saurabh Gaur, the national president of Dharma Raksha Sangh, said that a shrine was built by Muslim society in place of the temple of Bihari ji in Shahpur village. The Dharma Raksha Sangh has been opposing the construction of this shrine for the last two years. He says that the activists of Dharma Raksha Sangh also protested at that time, but with the help of the administration, the workers were put in jail and the tomb was built.
Saurabh Gaur said that even during the Yogi government in 2020, the administration at the lower level fully supported the Muslim society. When he took the matter to the top, investigation was done. The Waqf Board Committee has also given in writing that this is not a place of graveyard. Even in the investigation, that place completely turned out to be the temple of Bihari ji.
