The second phase of the budget session in Parliament has started from Monday. In the Lok Sabha on Monday, Union Ministers have answered questions regarding Ukraine war, students returned from there and petrol and diesel prices. Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan has said that the government is committed to improve the future of the students expelled from Ukraine. On the other hand, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman presented the budget of Jammu and Kashmir in Parliament today.
Dharmendra Pradhan- Regarding the remaining studies of the medical students who returned from Ukraine, Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan said that the government will ensure that their studies are completed, their future is not wasted. He said- “Operation Ganga happened under the leadership of PM Modi… He was taken out from there, now that we have brought him out, now the government will also make arrangements to make him a doctor. Now is the time to take them out of shock and take care of them. We are committed to them.”
Hardeep Puri on petrol prices- Union Minister Hardeep Puri said in Parliament today that the government had provided relief in oil prices when there was a need. He said- “When we saw that there is a need to provide relief to the public, PM Modi had cut rates on 5th November 2021. We took some steps and were ready to take more steps… 9 states did not do this”.
Further Hardeep Puri said that fuel prices in India are lower than many countries. He said- “I have comparative data for USA, Canada, Germany, UK, France, Spain, Sri Lanka and India. Petrol prices have increased by 50%, 55%, 58%, 55% in all those countries. In India, it has increased by only 5%”.
Budget of Jammu and Kashmir- Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman presented the budget for the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir in the Lok Sabha today. He also presented Supplementary Demands for Grants, Demands for Grants and Demands for Additional Grants for Jammu and Kashmir in the Lok Sabha.
