Ahead of the Rajya Sabha elections, Congress has appointed Mallikarjun Kharge as observer for Maharashtra. Apart from this, Pawan Kumar Bansal and TS Singhdev have been appointed as observers for Rajasthan, while Bhupesh Baghel and Rajiv Shukla have been appointed as observers for Haryana. These leaders will have the responsibility to stop cross voting. In this regard, Congress General Secretary KC Venugopal has issued a letter.
Chances of burglary have increased to win the Rajya Sabha elections. In such a situation, keeping in mind the horse-trading of MLAs, the Congress is resorting to ‘resort politics’. Congress will keep its MLAs from Rajasthan at Aravali Resort in Udaipur. Apart from this, 40 rooms have also been booked in Suryagarh of Jaisalmer. On the other hand, BJP will also build barricades in the hotel to keep its MLAs safe.
Rebellious attitude of MLAs in Rajasthan: Actually, before the Rajya Sabha elections, 6 MLAs in Rajasthan had adopted a rebellious attitude against Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot. After which there was a period of arrogance for several days and CM Ashok Gehlot finally managed to persuade the angry MLAs. During the meeting that lasted for about three hours, the angry MLAs told the Chief Minister that everyone got something but they did not get anything. CM Gehlot assured to address their problems and grievances.
Among the MLAs who met the CM were Lakhan Meena, Wajib Ali, Girraj Singh Malinga, Sandeep Yadav, Minister Rajendra Gudha and Congress MLA Khiladi Lal Bairwa. After meeting CM Gehlot, the displeasure of these MLAs has gone away. Photos of all the MLAs were also released with Ashok Gehlot at the Chief Minister’s residence.
Ruckus in Haryana Congress: On the other hand, there is a ruckus in Haryana Congress before the Rajya Sabha elections. Senior Congress leader Bhupendra Hooda and angry party MLA Kuldeep Bishnoi are leaving no stone unturned to taunt each other. In a press conference on Saturday, Bhupendra Hooda targeted Kuldeep Bishnoi and said that those whose conscience is not with the party should leave the Congress. On the other hand, Bishnoi hit back at Hooda by calling himself a born Congressman.
