Unemployment is a big issue in the country. A large number of youth are in search of employment in villages and cities. Now to eliminate the problem of employment from the root, Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) has started the Swalamban Bharat Abhiyan. The objective of this campaign is to make the country self-reliant and generate maximum self-employment. The decision to start this project has been taken by the Akhil Bharatiya Pratinidhi Sabha, the highest decision-making body of the RSS, under which the dependence on government jobs will be reduced and employment opportunities will be found by making the rural economy strong.
Swadeshi Jagran Manch will conduct the scheme: The scheme will be run under the supervision of Dr. Krishna Gopal. This scheme will be operated with the help of other branches of Swadeshi Jagran Manch RSS such as Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh, Bharatiya Kisan Sangh, Laghu Udyog Bharti, Sahakar Bharti, Grahak Panchayat and Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad.
Model of Swalamban Bharat Abhiyan: Local products will be promoted under the Swalamban Bharat Abhiyan. They will be given profits on selling the products of women’s self-help groups, farmers and craftsmen. According to the plan, big entrepreneurs, government organizations (centre and state) will have to help small traders and self-help groups financially.
RSS’s mega plan: Firstly, the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) of the RSS would go among the students in schools and colleges and motivate them to become entrepreneurs, which would eventually lead to employers. Laghu Udyog Bharati will work with small businesses, self-help groups and startups. She will also help self-help groups and small traders to get loans. Along with this, marketing and packing of the product will also be arranged by connecting with government departments. The Bharatiya Kisan Sangh will also focus its attention on the rural economy in such a way that with the help of farmers and laborers, small units related to agricultural produce can be established in the village.
Ashwani Mahajan, co-convener of Swadeshi Jagran Manch, says that the share of the manufacturing sector in our economy is only 16 percent. We have to take it to 25%. Over time our economy moved from a manufacturing to a service one, due to which unemployment has become a big problem today. If we want to eliminate unemployment from the root. Then manufacturing will have to be increased on a large scale.
