Senior Samajwadi Party (SP) leader Azam Khan was released from jail on Friday (May 20, 2022). He came out of Sitapur Jail in UP after about two years. Shivpal Yadav and son Abdullah Khan reached Sitapur Jail to welcome him. Please inform that Azam Khan will leave Sitapur directly for Rampur.
On Friday morning, ahead of Azam Khan’s release, Pragatisheel Samajwadi Party chief Shivpal Yadav wrote in a tweet, “It is pleasant for the people of the state that Azam Khan Sahab will be among his fans today. I have left for Sitapur, a new sun is rising on the horizon of Uttar Pradesh. Come, let’s worship Azam Khan sahib.
At the same time, during the release of Azam Khan, there was a gathering of his supporters in jail. Supporters said on Azam’s release that today is the day of Eid for us. While talking to the media, Shivpal Yadav said that Azam Khan brother stayed with us. I myself met him twice in jail. We both have been talking. They are our companions.

After Azam Khan’s release, Shivpal Yadav asked CM Yogha
Actually, Azam Khan got interim bail a day before from the Supreme Court. There were 89 separate cases against him, due to which he had to spend 27 months in jail. He was arrested on 26 February 2020. Wife and son were also lodged in this jail, who were released before Azam.
