The new highway projects to be ready for the country will be completed in a timely manner and for this, the central government has prepared a network planning group (NGP). This group has been prepared by the Ministry of Road and Transport. Under the scheme, the plans of more than 500 crores will have to first get the approval of the NGP.
For this, guidelines have been issued by the ministry for all the states and union territories. According to them, more than 500 crore schemes have been linked to the Pradhan Mantri Gati Shakti Yojana. The NGP will give its suggestions and guidelines on the upcoming proposal for the scheme. Only after this these schemes will be implemented in the states. In this matter, the Ministry has also ordered to give a detailed report to all the agencies like NHAI, Project Zone and BRD etc.
In this report, all the departments will give the work plan of the project to the NGP and apart from this, information about the working of various agencies related to the project will also be made available. With this help, it will help in bridging the lack of coordination among other agencies and any project will be completed within the stipulated time frame. It has been clarified in the order that whatever suggestions are there of the NGP regarding these projects, the departments will include them in their action plan within 15 days and start the process of implementing them.
The detailed blueprint of what will be the new format for preparing this report has also been issued by the ministry to all the concerned departments. In the report, the concerned agency will also have to provide information to the ministry that it will need to get the project approved by establishing coordination with these agencies while implementing the scheme, because the most time taken for the implementation of any project is the approvals received from the agencies. I just get wasted.
