According to a report by advisory firm Duff and Phelps, at present he is the most valuable celebrity in the country. However, their brand value has declined by 22 per cent. Kohli has retained his position for the fifth year in a row.
In this report released on Tuesday (March 29, 2022), it was told that Kohli’s brand value fell to $ 185.7 million in the year 2021, while in the year 2020 this figure was $ 2377 million.
The name of Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh is second in the list after the former captain of the Indian cricket team. His brand value is estimated at $1583 million. Singh has overtaken superstar Akshay Kumar during this period, who now occupies the third spot with a brand value of $136.90 million.
Actress Alia Bhatt is at number four in the list, whose brand value is $681 million. Also, she is at the forefront of female celebrities. Actress Deepika Padukone is ranked seventh on the list with a brand value of $51.6 million.
Aviral Jain, MD of the firm that made this list, said that even if the faces associated with the film industry dominate this list. But players like Virat Kohli, Sachin Tendulkar, Rohit Sharma and PV Sindhu also have a strong presence in it. Ranveer, Alia and cricketer Mahendra Singh Dhoni have been ahead in terms of the jump in brand value recorded in the year 2021.
