In the CWC meeting on Monday, Sonia Gandhi was seen in her old attitude. When he gave advice to the leaders, he also filled them with enthusiasm. He told the limits of leadership and urged his leaders to give everything for the party. Overall, it seemed that Sonia has now made a mood to get back on the field again. They know that there is a tough challenge ahead in the form of Modi-Shah, then Kejriwal is also becoming trouble. In such a situation, if there is no life in the party, then it can also end.
Sonia Gandhi said she has no magic wand to revive the party. Everyone has to work together. Now is the time to pay off the debt of the party. In such a situation, they have to work without any selfishness and with discipline. He said that the Chintan Shivir of Udaipur should not be a mere khanpurti. Rahul Gandhi was also present in the meeting with all the big leaders.
The decision to convene a Chintan Shivir was taken after the crushing defeat in five electoral states. The high command has decided to organize a three-day Nav Sankalp Chintan Shivir in Udaipur, Rajasthan from May 13 to 15. During this there will be brainstorming on the general elections of 2024. In this, all the party’s MPs, all the MLAs, important leaders and office bearers of the state and prominent leaders from frontal units have been called. About 400 leaders will be present in the Chintan Shivir.
It is to be noted that due to continuous defeat in elections and factionalism, Congress is facing difficulties at this time. The biggest problem is whether the Gandhi family should invest their energy in fixing their house or in dealing with the opponent and fighting an effective battle against them on the ground. The party has also suffered a setback due to flop talks with Prashant Kishor.
However, the leadership does not seem to be giving up. This is the reason why Sonia has spoken of setting up a privileged working group 2024 to strengthen the party for the next Lok Sabha elections and to deal with the challenges of the future. This year is important for Congress as it has a chance to erase the stain of defeat. Assembly elections are due in Gujarat and Himachal Pradesh at the end of the year. The Congress has been strong at the grassroots level in both these states. The high command knows that the party will become hot again as soon as it wins a single province. But it requires dedication and strategy of the leaders.
