Indian Students in Ukraine: Gwalior, New Zealand Rep. I am a 4th year MBBS student at Ternopil Medical University, Ukraine. After the attack by Russia, a situation like martial law has become here. War sirens are sounded intermittently in the night. The sound of the siren causes panic. Think if there was an attack here. There is silence on the streets. Many students like me are still stuck here. Orders have been given to us that the lights of the houses should not be lit during the night. In the event of an attack, we have to follow our neighbors (Ukraine residents) and hide in the bunkers built in the basement of the building. However, the city we are in is not in the war zone. Despite this, there is an atmosphere of chaos. This is to say of Prateek Chaudhary, a resident of line number six located in Birla Nagar, Gwalior, who is a medical student in Ukraine and is stuck there like other Indian students. Prateek’s father Komal Singh Chaudhary is meeting the administrative officers and public representatives in Gwalior, requesting to bring back his son and other students to the country.
Only getting medicines: Prateek told that there is silence in the city of Ternopil. Most of the people are imprisoned in their homes. There is an atmosphere of fear. We are also imprisoned in the apartment itself. Markets are closed. Only medicines are available. People are buying essential items in this emergency situation.
Want to go to Hungary or Romania but can’t find the means: Prateek Choudhary told that the local administration has asked the Indian students to go to the neighboring countries of Hungary or Romania as soon as possible. For this, the students will have to arrange the means themselves, but due to the war, there is so much fear that even after a lot of searching, no taxi, mini bus is being found. Since the attack is being done through missiles, everyone is afraid that something untoward may happen to them during the attack.
The students of the region trapped in Ukraine have faith in the government: The students of the region, who went to study MBBS in educational institutions in different cities of Ukraine, are stranded due to the situation of war. His relatives have faith in the Government of India and the Prime Minister. Himanshu Maurya of Shivpuri, Govind Rathore, nephew of Om Rathore, former president of Sheopur Municipality, Yogmaya Upadhyay, daughter of Dr Padmesh Upadhyay of Morena District Hospital, Vedanta Kulshrestha, son of Mukesh Kulshrestha, head accountant of RS Industries, apart from Gandhinagar resident Parashar tells Air The plane to India was about to arrive. Before that the Russian army attacked. The students made the video viral.
