The Indian women’s cricket team, already out of the race to win the series against New Zealand, will look to make a comeback in the fourth ODI on Tuesday. The team will try to break the losing streak in this tour by removing the shortcomings of bowling and fielding.
India suffered a three-wicket loss to hosts New Zealand in the third match, losing the five-match ODI series as well. This is the fourth loss for the Indian team in the limited overs series in the last 12 months. Earlier, he had to face defeats against South Africa, England and Australia.
With next month’s World Cup, the Mithali Raj-led side will have to overcome their weaknesses in the next two matches. The team has been strengthened by the return of opener Smriti Mandhana and fast bowler Meghna Singh.
Only experienced pacer Jhulan Goswami could do well in the bowling department. He shook New Zealand’s top order by taking three wickets in the third ODI, but due to lack of support from the other end, the Kiwi team was able to recover from these setbacks.
