Four out of the 14 players from Australia will be available for the IPL from the first match. At the same time, the remaining 10 players will be able to join their team from around April 11.
Players and franchises upset with Cricket Australia’s attitude
According to Inside Sports, IPL teams want to talk to BCCI against Cricket Australia’s decision. Cricket Australia has said that all their contracted players will be able to leave to play IPL only after April 6. In such a situation, players like David Warner, Pat Cummins, Glenn Maxwell and Josh Hazlewood will also reach India to play IPL only after April 6, while these four players will be part of the Australian team for the ODI series against Pakistan and the only T20. are not.
Australia to play series against Pakistan till April 5
Australia team is touring Pakistan after a long time. In this tour starting from March 4, first three Tests, then three ODIs and one T20 match will be played on April 5. After this all the players of Australia will be able to play in the IPL. Here IPL can start in the last week of March. In such a situation, Australian players will not be able to play the opening matches of IPL.
Players like Sean Abbott, Nathan Ellis, Jason Behrendorff, Mitchell Marsh and Marcus Stoinis are included in Australia’s ODI and T20 squads. These players will play for their country till April 5. After this, he will reach India to play IPL. After completing their quarantine, these players will be able to play matches from April 10 or 11.
Biggest problem for Delhi and Bangalore
Two of the important players of Australia are part of Delhi’s team. At the same time, two players of RCB will be able to join the team only till April 11. These players will not play the first three to four matches. This will hurt the teams. Warner and Marsh are Delhi’s key players, while Maxwell and Behrendorff are part of the RCB side.
