New Delhi. Shubman Gill has become the youngest batsman to score 3000 runs in the Indian Premier League. He has crossed the mark of 3000 runs in this T20 league at the age of just 24 years, 215 days. Shubman achieved this feat during the match against Rajasthan Royals on Wednesday. With this, Gill has made Virat Kohli’s record in his name.
Before Shubman Gill, the record of scoring 3000 runs at the youngest age was in the name of Virat Kohli. Virat Kohli made this record at the age of 26 years and 186 days. Rajasthan Royals captain Sanju Samson is at number three in this list. Sanju Samson scored his 3000th run in IPL at the age of 26 years, 320 days.

In this list of youngest to score 3000 runs in IPL, Suresh Raina is fourth and Rohit Sharma is fifth. Suresh Raina scored his 3000th run in IPL at the age of 27 years, 161 days. When Rohit Sharma achieved this feat, his age was 27 years, 343 days.
Shubman Gill is also challenging Virat Kohli in the race for the Orange Cap of IPL 2024. Virat Kohli continues to hold the Orange Cap by scoring 316 runs in IPL 2024. Shubhman Gill has scored 255 runs. Gill is at third place in the Orange Cap race. Riyan Parag (261) is at second place.
