Nehal then adopted an aggressive approach and scored an inning of 49 runs in 24 balls with a strike rate of more than 200, which included 3 fours and 4 sixes. Was interested in cricket since childhood, considered Yuvraj Singh as his role model
Nehal Wadhera was born on 4 September 2000 in Ludhiana, Punjab. Nehal loved playing cricket since childhood and his parents, understanding his passion, enrolled him in a cricket academy at the age of just 8 years. From here, Nehal focused his attention on cricket along with studies. Nehal was also selected for the Indian Under-19 team in the year 2018 in which he got a chance to play in the match against Sri Lanka and impressed everyone with his brilliant inning of 81 runs. After this, Nehal got a place in the Punjab team in the 2023 Ranji Trophy season. Nehal played an inning of 123 runs in the match against Gujarat and then saw a brilliant inning of 214 runs with his bat in the match against Madhya Pradesh.
In the year 2022, Nehal Wadhera, while playing in the inter-district tournament of Punjab state, came into limelight only after he scored 578 runs in 414 balls in the semi-final match for Bathinda Under-23. Nehal also got the benefit of his historic innings and was selected in the Punjab team for the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy but did not get a chance to play a single match. Nehal had given a trial for Rajasthan Royals to play in IPL, while after this, in the IPL player auction held in the year 2022, Mumbai Indians team made him a part of their team for the base price of Rs 20 lakh. Nehal considers former Indian team player Yuvraj Singh as his idol.

If we look at the cricket career of 23-year-old left-handed player Nehal Wadhera so far, he has scored 739 runs in 12 first-class matches at an excellent average of 46.18, which includes three centuries and one half-century. Apart from this, in 22 T20 matches, Nehal has so far scored 465 runs at an average of 35.76 and during this period, he has seen 4 half-century innings with his bat. Apart from this, Nehal has also played 6 List-A matches, in which he has managed to score 106 runs at an average of 21.20.
