New Delhi. National Investigation Agency NIA has arrested an ISIS terrorist Mohsin Ahmed from Batla House in Delhi. The investigating agency was keeping an eye on him for the last about 6 months. Mohsin is originally from Bihar. Students studying at Jamia Millia University had reported about Mohsin. Investigations revealed that he was in contact with ISIS commanders based in Afghanistan and Syria and used to send funds to them through cryptocurrency. The students came to know about Mohsin when he tried to influence many students with the ideology of ISIS. The arrested terrorist is still being interrogated.
According to sources, the NIA started keeping a watch on Mohsin after getting information and after having strong evidence, raided his house on Japanese street in Batla House area on Saturday. Further evidence of his ties to ISIS was found at home. After which he was arrested. A major encounter has also taken place in the Batla House area itself. In which many terrorists were killed by the Special Cell of Delhi Police. Delhi Police Inspector Mohan Chand Sharma was also martyred in that encounter. This is the first time that an ISIS terrorist has been nabbed from Delhi.
Let us tell you that on Sunday itself, NIA had raided 13 places in 6 states in connection with activities related to ISIS. The agency had conducted raids in UP, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Bihar, Maharashtra and Karnataka. The reason for these raids was to arrest people associated with ISIS and drug trade. Right now, Mohsin is being interrogated and found out about his associates and the sleeper cell of ISIS. He and his associates are also likely to be arrested in the coming days.
