Capri (Italy): There has been no direct claim from Israel and Iran as to whether Israel retaliated against Iran or not. However, it has been said from Iran’s side that some suspicious objects like drones were shot down in its airport and many other areas. On this issue, America told the foreign ministers of the G-7 group on Friday that it had received “last minute” information from Israel about the drone attack in Iran, but Washington did not take part in this action. The officers provided this information. While Italy’s Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani said that the US gave this information in the Friday morning session of the three-day meeting of the member countries of the G-7 group.
The agenda of the session was changed at the last minute to discuss the situation arising out of the suspected attack. Tajani chaired the meeting of foreign ministers of the member countries of the G-7 group. Early Friday, Iran used air defense systems to defend an air force base and a nuclear site near Isfahan after drones were spotted in the sky. This Israeli attack was probably carried out in response to the unexpected drone and missile attack on Israel by Tehran last weekend. Italy’s Foreign Minister said that America told the foreign ministers of G-7 countries that it was informed about the drone by Israel at the last moment. “But America is not involved in this attack,” he said. He had merely received information about it.
US Secretary of State maintains silence on Italy’s claim
US Secretary of State Antony Blinken declined to comment on the statement and said his country was not involved in any attack and was committed to reducing tensions in the region. Blinken said, “I am not going to say anything other than that the United States was not involved in any attack.” Asked to describe the current US-Israel relationship, Blinken said that Israel made its own decisions. And America is committed to its security. Tajani said the G-7 countries discussed what happened in Iran on Friday. He said he wanted to inform that he contacted the Italian embassies in Tel Aviv and Tehran and found that the Italians living in Isfahan were safe. The G-7 group is a group of countries with the seven most advanced economies in the world, which include Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Britain and America.
Israel retaliated
Even though Israel and Iran are not expressing any clarity regarding this attack, it is believed that Israel took this retaliatory action after Tehran launched unexpected drone and missile attacks on Israel over the weekend. The ministers, in a statement after the three-day meeting, urged both sides to avoid confrontation. The statement pledged Israel’s security and strongly condemned Iran’s attack on Israel on April 13–14. “We stand ready to impose additional sanctions and take other measures in response to further destabilization of the region,” it said. The group also called on Iran to oppose the transfer of ballistic missiles and related technology to Russia. Gave warning. On the war in Gaza, the group appealed to Hamas to release hostages. (AP)
