Flights for Dubai: The operations of Indian airlines have been affected after heavy rains and floods in Dubai caused disruption at the airport there. Air India, Air India Express and SpiceJet have either canceled or rescheduled their services due to the restrictions at Dubai airport. Air India canceled all its flights to Dubai
Air India on Friday canceled all its flights from Dubai citing ‘operational disruptions at the airport’. At the same time, Air India Express and Indigo have canceled some of their flights. Dubai Airports has issued a ‘Notome’ (Notice to Airmen), banning operation of flights by non-UAE operators till the morning of April 21, sources said. Accordingly, non-UAE operators with more than two flights in 24 hours have been asked to reduce operations by 50 per cent during the given time period. Air India on Friday said that passengers who have booked flights to Dubai till April 21, will be offered fare waiver in case of rescheduling of flight and full refund of fare for passengers who cancel their flights.

Sources said that flight operations of Indian carriers have been disrupted after NOTOM and they are canceling and rescheduling their services. This step will increase the operating expenses of the airlines. He said an Air India Express flight from Calicut to Dubai on Friday was diverted to Muscat due to the restrictions. The aircraft flew back to Calicut and the passengers were later flown to Ras Al Khaimah.
