Srinagar. An Indian Army helicopter that crashed on Friday near the Line of Control (LoC) in Gurez area of Jammu and Kashmir was on way to airlift a sick BSF jawan. However, no official information has been received about the safety of the two pilots on board the crashed helicopter. A police officer told reporters that a pilot and a co-pilot were on board when the helicopter crashed in the snowy area.
“There is still no confirmation whether the pilots ejected safely or there were casualties in the accident,” he said.
“Rescue teams have been dispatched to the spot and rescuers are yet to reach the spot due to heavy snowfall in the area,” the official said.
