The seat sharing formula in India alliance is not finalized yet.
All the parties are not unanimous even on the seat sharing formula in India Alliance.
Ranchi. The formula for sharing 14 Lok Sabha seats has not been decided yet within the INDIA alliance in Jharkhand regarding the Lok Sabha elections. However, the talk of 7-5-1-1 is on the lips of everyone from media to top leaders of alliance parties. Under this formula, 7 means Congress, 5 means JMM and one each means RJD and CPI(ML). On the basis of this formula, till now JMM has also announced the names of its candidates from 4 seats Dumka, Rajmahal, Giridih and Singhbhum. Similarly, Congress has announced candidates from 3 seats Khunti, Lohardaga and Hazaribagh. Male has also fielded a candidate from its only seat, Koderma. RJD’s candidate from the undeclared Palamu seat is in the election campaign. After seeing this reality, it will seem that everything within the alliance is going in the right direction. But, this is not true, the truth is something else.
In fact, JMM is continuously putting pressure on Congress regarding seat swap. Instead of Jamshedpur seat, JMM wants Godda Lok Sabha seat. JMM wants to field BJP leader and former minister Raj Paliwar from this seat. Similarly, RJD also wants Chatra seat apart from Palamu. Many powerful leaders contesting from Chatra on RJD ticket are standing in the queue. Some of these leaders are also in touch with Congress. Not only this, JMM has not given up its claim on Lohardaga seat. She is still urging Congress to withdraw its declared candidate.
Meanwhile, it is also being told that JMM MLA Chamra Linda has decided to contest elections from this seat. In such a situation, it is difficult to have a candidate from the alliance on this seat. Amidst this tussle over the seat, it is important to mention that Congress does not seem ready to back down too much. If the seat sharing formula is not decided by mutual consent, then Congress can also signal its rebel leaders to contest on JMM seats.
