Saran. On February 22, the body of 22-year-old girl Julie was recovered by the police from a maize field near the river in Rajjupur Tola village of Bheldi police station area of Chhapra district of Bihar. Then Julie’s family members had said that she was murdered by unknown people and the possibility of murder after rape was being expressed. But the police were suspecting something else in this matter and were working in this direction. Ultimately the police’s suspicions were proved correct and within a month this scandal was exposed by Bheldi police station incharge Ashok Kumar. Actually this case of murder has turned out to be honor killing.
According to police revelations, Julie was to be married a week after the murder. She had gone missing on the night of 21 February. While investigating, the family members saw it in the maize field. After this, the anger of the family members increased to such an extent that Julie’s mother Minta Devi, father Shobhanath Singh and brother Himanshu killed her in the same field by slitting her throat with a knife. Police arrested all three and sent them to jail. However, since the time this incident took place, the local people were quietly linking it to honor killing. But considering the behavior and style of the family members, the police did not consider it appropriate to suspect them.
Family members accepted the murder
The police was investigating at every point. The CDR of the deceased’s mobile was also taken out and examined for several days. But, nothing could be found out. In the end, Police Station Head Ashok Kumar and his team thoroughly investigated the mobile and other statements of the family members. Then the brother confessed to his parents’ murder of Julie and told that she was about to get married. The honor of the entire family was at stake, so seeing her with her lover, their anger increased and they killed her by slitting her throat with a knife in the same field.
