Varanasi. The Kashi Dharma Parishad has demanded that a commission of Sadhus and Saints of Varanasi should be constituted and its members should be sent to Kashmir to ascertain the exact number of temples in the Valley by terrorists in the 1990s.
These include Patalpuri Peethadheeshwar Mahant Balak Das, Council President Mahant Ramlochan Das, Mahant Sarveshwar Sharan Das, Mahant Shravan Das, Mahant Ishwar Das, Mahant Avadh Kishore Das, Vyas Raghav Rishi, Anil Shastri, Acharya Shriram Shastri, Kamlesh Shastri. Volunteers of Vishal Bharat Sansthan watched Bollywood film ‘The Kashmir Files’ directed by Vivek Agnihotri on Wednesday. After which this demand arose.
Demanding reconstruction of temples in the Valley, Mahant Balak Das said that once the exact number of temples destroyed in Kashmir is known, they should be reconstructed with immediate effect.
He further said that those who were involved in expelling Kashmiri Pandits from the Valley, their properties should be confiscated and action should be taken against them.
Meanwhile, Rampanth chief Dr Rajeev Sri Guruji said that the saints and members of the Rampanth will together make people aware of the history of exodus of Kashmiri Hindus in the villages.
He said that Sanatan Dharma has to adopt the policy of staying firm and not running away.
He further said that the Sant Samaj of Kashi would soon meet the President and apprise him of their concern.
The Kashi Dharma Parishad has also decided to felicitate the director of ‘The Kashmir Files’ and his team in Kashi.
