Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya lashed out at Samajwadi Party President Akhilesh Yadav and alleged that he was playing shoddy politics in the case of Lalitpur’s alleged gangrape victim being raped by the SHO. Keshav has come to Agra on a two-day tour and on Thursday he inspected the Agra Metro projects and gave necessary directions. He also announced to change the name of the underground metro station near Jama Masjid to Mankameshwar Mandir Metro Station on the occasion.
When Keshav Prasad Maurya was inspecting the Metro Rail project, former Minister of State and MLA Agra Cantonment Dr. GS Dharmesh suggested renaming the underground metro station Jama Masjid to Mankameshwar Mandir Metro Station. On this, the Deputy Chief Minister immediately ordered the officers present on the spot to name this station Mankameshwar Mandir Metro Railway Station, on which the Metro officials also gave a confession.
When Maurya was asked about the statement of former Chief Minister and SP President Akhilesh Yadav about running a bulldozer at the police station on the Lalitpur rape case, he said that the opposition should not give so much emphasis. Maurya said that the entire police station has been suspended in the Lalitpur case, strict action is being taken against the culprits. In such a situation, the fury of defeat is visible in the statements of former Chief Minister Akhilesh.
Keshav Prasad Maurya alleged that he (Akhilesh) does such work which is not pleasing to the former chief minister. Anyway, doing cheap politics is the habit of Akhilesh and SP. Maurya claimed that the BJP would rule Uttar Pradesh for the next 25 years and the state was being made crime free. He said that the police is doing a good job, there are some people who are doing wrong, they will be given strict punishment. It is worth noting that Union Minister of State SP Baghel was also present on this occasion.
