What was the dispute between Sourava Ganguly and Virat Kohli?
Virat and Ganguly came face-to-face after the T20 World Cup last year. However, the two did not make any direct statements at each other. Virat left the captaincy after the T20 World Cup. After this Virat was removed from the captaincy of ODI by BCCI. Regarding this, Ganguly had said that he himself and the selectors had spoken to Virat on the issue of captaincy.
This angered Virat and he expressed this displeasure in the press conference. He had said that no one had given any information on the issue of his removal from the captaincy. Just suddenly the phone call was removed. Ganguly refused to comment on Kohli’s statement and said that the BCCI will answer it. After this, Kohli also resigned from the captaincy of the Test.
