New Delhi: Narendra Modi is going to take oath as the Prime Minister of the country for the third consecutive time on Saturday or Sunday. The date will be announced in a day or two. Prime Ministers and Presidents of India’s neighboring countries are coming to attend the swearing-in ceremony of Prime Minister Modi under the Neighborhood First policy. So far, the Prime Minister has sent invitations to the leaders of Sri Lanka, Nepal, Bhutan, Bangladesh, Bhutan and Mauritius for the swearing-in ceremony. According to sources, the leaders of all these countries are almost ready to come.
PM Modi has been chosen as the leader of the NDA party. After this, he will also be elected as the leader of the BJP Parliamentary Party. According to media reports, top South Asian leaders have been invited to the Prime Minister’s swearing-in ceremony, which reflects the government’s ‘neighbor first’ policy. Bangladesh and Sri Lankan leaders have already confirmed their presence in the program by talking to PM Modi over the phone. Sri Lankan President Ranil Wickremesinghe, Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, Nepal Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’, Bhutan PM Tshering Tobgay and Mauritius Prime Minister Pravind Jugnauth are expected to attend PM Modi’s swearing-in ceremony. Formal invitations have also been sent to all of them. According to PTI, Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and Sri Lankan President Ranil Wickremesinghe have given the green signal to attend the ceremony.
NDA has won 293 seats
The NDA has won 293 seats in the 543-member Lok Sabha. Of these, the BJP alone emerged as the largest party by winning 240 seats. NDA allies, including Telugu Desam Party’s Chandrababu Naidu and Janata Dal-United chief Nitish Kumar, met at the Prime Minister’s residence yesterday and unanimously elected PM Modi as the leader of the alliance. Now PM Modi’s swearing-in ceremony is to be held on June 8 or 9. However, there is no indication of China and Pakistan leaders attending it. They have not even been invited. In the year 2014, the leaders of SAARC (South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation) countries attended PM Modi’s swearing-in ceremony. In 2019, the leaders of BIMSTEC countries participated.
