New Delhi. The Congress has once again targeted the Modi government over the increase in the price of LPG cylinder by Rs 3.50 on Thursday. This is the second increase in LPG cylinder prices this month. Mahila Congress President Neta D’Souza on Thursday held a press conference by placing a garland of notes on the gas cylinder and said that even today the price of LPG has increased. The government does not care about the common people. 100 rupees have been increased continuously in the last 45 days. The price of commercial gas cylinder has been increased by Rs 457 by 50 paise in 60 days and has now been increased by Rs 8 in 24 hours.
Referring to the figures, he said that subsidy on diesel and petrol was given in time during the Congress era and in the last 8 years, the Modi government has taken out Rs 27.5 lakh crore from the pockets of the people. The job of the government is to work in the interest of the people. How can women run their households when they are plagued by rising gas prices?
D’Souza said that in the time of UPA, petrol used to be Rs 71, 41 paise, today it is Rs 105 per litre. Common housewives are worried about the rising prices of gas cylinders. Women are unable to run their homes. Even CNG, PNG, because nowadays there are lines of PNG. The prices of PNG have also increased, due to which the gas bills which are coming have already doubled.
He said that we, the Mahila Congress, repeatedly worked to awaken the government, have tried to reach the voice of the people, the voice of the people, the voice of the housewife of the common household. Even by going to the door of Parliament, we requested the ministers sitting in power, the Prime Minister, to reconsider the gas prices in the interest of the people, in the interest of the general public, in the interest of the women of the country.
He said that it is a pity that this government has neither the time nor the sensitivity to listen or understand the voice of the general public. Now the pen is also in the hands of BJP, the power is also in their hands, everything is in your hands, so why increase the price of gas and when will the price of gas come down? This is the question of every woman in the country.
